A disused former office block is well under way on its transformation into a new private gated residential development in Peterborough city centre.

Central Court will be home to 38 one and two bedroom contemporary apartments that will come to market in late summer 2014 and will offer busy professionals a truly central space at the very heart of Peterborough city centre.

Local developers GKL Group and BWP have joined forces to deliver this scheme and are building on buyers’ appetite for urban and central living in Peterborough.

“It is another example of our passion and belief in Peterborough’s growing city centre and what this has to offer,” said director James Brackenbury.

The development is being undertaken in the Cavell Court building previously used by the legal firm Hegartys and Peterborough City Council at the base of Lincoln Road next to Westgate Church.

Buyers’ events:

With the development registered for the Help to Buy Scheme interest is expected to be strong and potential purchasers are recommended to contact sales agents Belvoir on 01733 321500.

Two launch events are planned for later this month on Tuesday, 19 August between 11.30am and 3.00pm and Thursday, 21 August between 4.30pm and 7.30pm.

City MP Stewart Jackson said: “My housing strategy for Peterborough outlined the importance of quality housing in the area and particularly the importance of quality residential homes for professionals in the city centre.

“I am pleased with what the Central Court development will bring to the city centre and hope this will help facilitate the right offer for people looking at their first home or wanting to make the most of the great facilities and transport links Peterborough city centre offers.”
