Position: Receptionist/Purchase Ledger Clerk

Working Hours: 8.30am to 5.00pm
We are looking for a Receptionist/Purchase Ledger Clerk to join our busy accounts team in Peterborough. We are looking for someone with a professional and caring approach who has good written and verbal communication skills and a willingness to learn.
First point of contact for incoming phone calls and visitors to our Head Office
Checking invoice statements
POD matching and close liaison with the procurement department and site teams.
Purchase invoice input onto Sage 200
Dealing with purchase invoice queries
Purchase invoice statement reconciliations
Aged creditor reporting/ invoice tracking
General administrative duties
Franking of outgoing post
Provide assistance to finance manager and team as required
Other ad hoc duties as required
The role would suit a practically minded person, with a common sense approach and a “can do” attitude to work. The right candidate will have an eye for detail and enjoy working as part of a small team. They should have a good level of general education (including Maths and English at GCSE O Level or equivalent), and have knowledge and experience in using MS Office including Word and Excel. Ideally, they will also have experience using SAGE200, but any SAGE experience would be relevant as all SAGE packages operate in a similar way. Previous experience of working within the sector and Project based accounting would also be a distinct plus.
The starting Salary will be in the range of (£18,000 to £20,000)
