Thursday 10th October 2013 saw GKL Group (@GKLGroup) take delivery of the first Komatsu D61 PXI-23 bulldozer in the UK on a week’s demonstration. This ‘state of the art’ piece of machinery is the first of its kind in the Britain and is the first machine in the market to come with a fully factory installed 3D GNSS machine control system.
Although fully automated machine control is not a new concept in the UK construction sector the new factory fitted install is at the present time a unique offering.
One of the main features of the D61 PXi-23 is that it is able to utilise fully automatic dozing from start to finish from rough grading to final precision trimming. This all combines to provide a machine which delivers increased efficiency, increased productivity and greater fuel efficiency.

By taking delivery and trial of this dozer GKL Group are highlighting the firms ability to be at the cutting edge of construction technology and being capable of integrating technology into the construction sector.
